Subject: TT plug-in for Project Evolution
PE is turning out to be very popular amongst the Poser Community.
A texture transformer plugin from V4 to Project Evolution would be welcomed by many.
There is a hefty cost for each individual conversion (around $1500 each) from one figure to one other figure (like V4 to PE). So, it would be very costly to try to make ALL figure conversions for PE, and we need to see a pretty good user request list for it. It would be good for us to know which conversions make the most sense for our users. I'm guessing V4 to PE, since V4 probably has the largest library of character texture options.
Figure options might be something like: V4 to PE G2F to PE Dawn to PE or G3F to PE
So, these 4 conversions would cost us around the $6000 mark, and we'd need to at least break-even on it. If the requests are just for one conversion, like V4 to PE that would be a LOT easier to get done.
Well then we can just start with V4 2 PE.

People that have PE are the hardcore of the Poser community (You know, the folks 'Renderosity has been ignoring.) If we have a V4 to PE, then we don't actually need the others, we can use the other plug-ins.
Dawn to V4 then V4 to PE G2F to V4 then V4 to PE G3F to V4 then V4 to PE
OTOH, I wouldn't sweat the DS figures; PE isn't coming to DS anytime soon, and I don't see folks with a heavy g figure investment interested in PE.

Hi Sir, thanks for considering to do something like this. Indeed along the lines of what the others are saying, most folks I've seen play with PE have been converting V4 stuff from what I can tell, so it would indeed be wise to just kick it off with a V4 > PE kit. Based on how well that does you could consider doing other kits too, but for now I think you'll make a lot of V4 fans very happy with that!

Oh me too. I just bought the new Blacksmith (on subscription) and I'm amazed at the texture converter. Now, if it could make my zillions of V4 textures available to PE .. Well .. wouldn't that be grand?

Heck, if adding support for V4 to PE means we'll see manihoni create one of his amazing characters for Project Evolution, it's worth it!
