Poser - OFFICIAL F.A.Q (Last Updated: 2024 May 19 9:23 pm)
I just tried mine, and it's working fine.
That said, what version are you using? Version 2.6 is the most recent version, so if you're still using 2.5, maybe you should try updating it.

Hi Cabled, I was currently sniffing the forum to see if anybody had any issue with P3dO and 11.2.
I haven't downloaded 11.2 yet. It generally took several hours with the Smith Micor donwload server, so I intended to upgrade in a few days.
I just give a look at the PoserPythoin source code. The message is: "Poser or Daz Studio must be running in order to PoserPython calls...."
In order to run the script into Poser, P3dO is looking for the Poser software. And it says it didn't find it. I don't know what could cause that except something new in 11.2. So I have to donwload 11.2 asap and give it a try. But since Miss B is saying it working fine for her, it is a bit curious.
You can mail me at sales_at_senosoft_com and I will send you a version of the plugin with a logger so that we can see exactly what happens.
Below are the plugins setting, in Tools menu > Options > Plugins tab, just in case.

Hi Yarp, mostly I use P3DO to convert old RSR thumbnails to Png format when I come across a product I purchased years ago. Right now I don't have any that need that, but I just opened it, and clicked through a bunch of folders, and the content of each folder is displaying properly, so I can't imagine the Tools aren't working as well.
That said, I'm still on Win7Pro, and the OP didn't mention what OS he's using. It might be an issue with a combination of PP11.2 and Win10Pro.

Ohhhhhh, I didn't think of that. I've always used P3DO as standalone software.

Ok, as for the opener problem I am glad to say it has been fixed with the assisatnce of cabled.
I will publish the fix on my website this evening and on the renderosity freestuff by the end of the week.
@HKHan99, P3DO stands for Poser 3D Object, nothing else. I am about to change the name, for the 20th anniversary next year.

WOW! I knew it's been around a long time, but never realized it's been 20 years.

Yeah, so didn't I until recently. I started working on it on February 2000 (I recall that day as if it were yesterday) and the first release has been available at Renderosity freestuff on April 21st, 2000 :)
And I firmly intend to work on it for another 20 years.

Wow that was about 2 1/2 weeks after I joined Renderosity!! I haven't been using it that long though, as back then the only 3D software I was using was Bryce 5. Boy have we both come a long way.

That it has. My first version was P5, but then I had a number of years using DS instead, and then came back to Poser with version 9.

Did the 11.2 update break anyone else's P3DO Explorer or just mine? Says Poser must be running now (it is) and no amount of Python gyrations I try seem to get it to detect that Poser is, in fact, running.
