Congratulations to Flink for being Renderosity's Vendor of the Month for June!
Who is 'Flink' and how did you come to use this member name?
I'm male, adult, living in Europe. The name is the title of an old video game, whose graphic style had pleased me at that time.
Have you had any traditional art experience or training?
No, at least nothing worth mentioning.
What are you currently working on?
Several products. Of course, in the domain of nature.
What software is currently in your digital toolset and why?
CINEMA 4D, Hexagon, Photoshop, and Poser, of course. I have been familiar with this software for many years and it provides everything I need.
How would you describe your creative process?
There is not much to describe. I am trying to capture the beauty of nature and create products that I would like to have myself, or which I would buy.
Through the creation process, from inception to finalization of the product, what is your favorite part and why?
When the product is completed and I'm on my way to produce images for presentation. For me, it's still great to see the result of finished images which I created. I also enjoy seeing pictures of other artists who use my products and I am very pleased to see that I was able to help them realize their own visions.
Where do you find inspiration for your products, and do you have any particular favorite among the products you've created?
My inspiration is nature in its enormous plurality. I take a lot of photos outside and consider what I would like to reproduce in digital images. If I think my idea is possible to realize, I dare the transformation.
Have you ever created product in response to customer feedback?
I've already created products requested by customers. But primarily, because I had the ideas for it already in my mind and wanted to realize them anyway.
Do you have any advice for aspiring Digital Content Developers?
Regard yourself as your customer and create products you would like for yourself, too.
What else do you enjoy doing when you're not hard at work creating great content?
I love nature and I am very happy being outside.
How has this online Community (Renderosity) enhanced your work, relationships, and learning?
I've learned a lot here.
Do you have any final words or advice for other digital artists?
Have fun! That's the most important thing.
