Inspirational Motion Weekly

The Inspirational Motion Weekly is a showcase of awe-inspiring short films, animation and motion graphic works from around the web. Given the rise of the independent filmmaker in recent years, and with all the incredible tools that are more accessible, the drive and the means to create is ever stronger today.

I know there are members here on Renderosity that have created their own films and animations, and I hope this weekly segment will inspire and encourage even more. With that said, I thought I would share a few really fantastic works I recently found...

Life Cycles

Kasana is a motion graphics & visual effects boutique in Buenos Aires, Argentina. They have worked on many commercial projects, TV shows, and Film productions. Life Cycles is an experimental short clip created with the goal to explore design and animation through a simple concept.

"Life Cycles" is a collaboration between Andres Rossi Studio and Kasana.

Directed by Andres Rossi & Roberto Conolly
Art direction and design: Andres Rossi
Animation and compositing: Roberto Connolly
Music and sound design: Lucas Totino Tedesco

The genre of brand films has reached a new level of excellence with the collaboration of Monogram and Creative Director Penny Ashman. The beautifully and intricately animated "Work, Play, Live" is a piece created for Saint-Gobain, a 350-year old French conglomerate that began as the manufacturer of glass for the mirrors at The Palace of Versailles.

Written and directed by Penny Ashman of Felix Design, the short film presents this huge company and its many capabilities metaphorically in the form of the Fibonacci Spiral, a geometric sequence found throughout nature and architecture. The concept illuminates the individual as an integral part of a unifying structure.
