Description

I got a lot of new ideas lately on how to improve realism in a render, so in this one I've tried out a lot of them at once :o) ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Apollo Maximus from RDNA. Skin is Brutus from RawArt. Realism set and Occlusion Master from face_off. Poser 6 and Photoshop. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Thanks for looking. Comments are appreciated.

Wow! You fooled me, I thought that was a photograph, not Poser. Love the black & white softly blurred background, makes it look even more natural.

Wow is right! I thought, when did you get into photography. LOL Looks like you went to the local school running track and took a pic of some athlete. ;) Well done!

Now this is pretty realistic indeed. Could easily be mistaken for a photograph. Great B/W, love the background blur (maybe a bit strong?) and the lighting is awesome. Excellent!

I think that B&W renders of people look more realistic than color (since it removes the skin color-tone issues we have yet to solve). This render is a create example of that. It is very, very close to a photo. Because the background of blurred, there probably should be a small amount of blur on his hand too. And maybe putting a weave bumpmap on his shirt would help too. His eyes are perfect.

His hand IS actually blurred quite a bit :o) but yes, B/W renders tend to look more real because the skin looks better. I did consider the weave bumpmap, it actually has a noise displacement on it, but the softening filter ate that L

Wow!, this is really good. BW certainly lends to the realism. The only thing I would suggest is darken those bits around his nostrils, and
