I'd like to thank everyone who's read my tutorial and found it helpful.
If you have real suggestions please let me know. I have read someone wishing some step-by-step screenshots and have added them.
I will continue painting, but I will not post any pictures anymore. My gallery and my tutorial will remain here unless the staff deletes them. If you've suggestions concerning the tutorial, I will read them, however. Just write an IM, or leave a comment.
Thanks to all my friends, most of them aren't here anymore. Thank you nonetheless.
Yours,
Nicky

wow, this turned out really good!
Excellent image ... you should be really pleased. I'm still using a Graphire, so I'm a bit envious. Wonderful composition and dramatic light.
This is a wonderful work of art. Your joy is apparent in this work. Best wishes for continued joy and happiness... Don't forget to keep posting it!
Very good the contrast between the shadows and lightings, and better still the details on the shadows. Congrats!
Wow- what a spectacular portrait! Superb expression and I like the muted look. Wonderful art. Vote. ;o) CC

gute arbeit... ;) well done portrait so far... okay - it could be more realistic... if you head for something like this... but i like the way it's still visible as a painting... :)
wow, if this is you starting out with a tablet, I can't to see the results once you get the hang of it! awesome stuff
this is amazing! your best work so far! and I love the oil painting look!
Having further look through your gallery, and discovering you do these from scratch, I am so blown away. I originally thought you started with a rendering. In that light, I'd say this is the most impressive gallery out here. It almost makes me want to hang up my paintbrush and take up woodshop - - (almost) Excellent

()Although the virtual contrast might be a bit lower than you wanted, it's still a stunning portrait. Interestingly enough, I end up viewing this particular image of yours because I, too, just upgraded my legacy Intuos 4"x5" tablet to a new, Intuos3 6"x11" wide aspect tablet. I never used my old tablet as much as I should have, and I'm kicking myself for it now. I'm getting into just what you are teaching with your tutorials, and they should proe invaluable to me in getting "up to speed." Thanks for your kind sharing, and congrats on an impressive portfolio of ePaintings.
A beautiful work, well done! 5+!
