Not sure if i should consider the white ground as sand, snow or salt. No matter as the image evokes not so much an alien landscape, but one that is found in several parts of this world we inhabit. The fact it is devoid of any plant life is actualy nice as it clears ones own mind of any clutter and I tend to focus on the distant mountain scape and wondering who long it will take to get there. The desolation or isolation is freightning, for I hate to perish here in the clearing. Be it either snow, sand or the salt flats, there is something about this image that keeps me coming back. Nicely done Bruce. Have a great weekend. PS: I guess I should have read the title. Stupid me, but as you can see, I was so into this image, I saw nothing else.

This is indeed a beautiful image. I love the windswept sands and the squiggles only windswept sand possesses ~ think there are one too many S's ~ No matter you get my drift.. Awesome image!

I had EXACTLY the same feeling as CameraObscura: I first beleived that it was snow, though it had a strange aspect, but for sand it does have too The blue atmosphere suggests an air similar to the Earth's one, true that there is absolutely no life As said for earlier scenes, I would have liked some astronauts, beasts or aliens over there but this a personal point of view!
