Ohh I like it very much. Didn't see the other but this does achieve the ancient feel in it's texture. The colour and sheen are beautiful on the spiral.

That is something for my taste. The background in earthy tones and irregular patterns and the spiral emerging from that, gaining colours... Together with a 1a composition your image really deserves IMHO to be ranked (I seldom do this).

I like this one better. Excellent stony texture - I haven't seen you do many like this. I like the way the colors become irridescent toward the center of the spiral. That's the part I like better about this version. Nice'un Uncle Bilbo!
