Description
Northern Territory is such a place where there are more crocodiles living than actual human beings. The estimated people population is about 150,000. These saltwater crocodiles in the photo are about 1.5 - 2m in length, this is not their adult size. Infact the adults can grow to 6 - 7m in length. Also the adults would never be seen in such a big group as they are very territorial. I'll post photos of adults crocodiles in the near future.

A Canon 70 - 200mm + 2x Teleconvertor and my DSLR focal length multiplier of 1.6 gets you in pretty close. I was probably about 7m from where they were resting.

The composition is perfect as it is the creative use of the DOF! But what I like the most is that green-yellow light. Is it original or it comes from postwork? Anyway... V ;)

7 M is still quite close :-) Excellent picture. I like the well used near-pattern compo still letting the focus on the central crocodile's head.

Oh look at all those handbags....Dont know about NT, but there are some croc farms that grow these little guys for their skins. Aside from the grisly truth, I love the dappled light, it highlights one head and makes it stand out from the crowd, combined with DOF. Colour looks great, brings out the patterns well. Excellent capture =)
