I really like seeing technical illustrations like this. I'm wondering if you had the CAD files for this engine and if you did, what method you used to import them into C4D. Nice work here although I'm not crazy about the Sketch n Toon render. I think it would look better more in the style of a blueprint but hey, it's still impressive.
i didnt use any of the real CAD-Packages but built up this engine by using C4D alone. --- if i had created it with a CAD-tool polytrans would offer 1000 possibilties to convevert the format for-and backward -you aint like the sketch? hmmm...shold i may develope an other presentation layout....what'dya say? ____ NOTE i would have done a 360 rotatable 3D version of that engine above - however - i only had one good high-res pic as reference.since detailed blueprints are hard to find i decided to model a cross-sectioned one
Very impressive!
incredible modelling!!
Excellent modeling! On models like this, I like this type of rendering.
Excellent, awesome modelling!
You did this from one reference sketch? No CAD file? Then it's even more impressive. About the rendering.. the elevations rock.. very illustrative.. however the perspective doesn't do it justice.. I'd have gone for the same style as the elevations. Overall, maginificent work, though!
Cool! Maybe an off-white, slightly darker shade for a background would draw the illustrations out more?
2nd attempt: aint know if this layout is better than the last one (last one: http://www.3dcommune.com/3d/gallery/Cinema_4D/SATSCH1102977495.jpg thx for the CONSTRUCTIVE comments
its a very nice engine
