Description

Up and running again . . . finally. I also get to conclude/start my Dixie Autumn series of photos I took at Stone Mountain Park east of Atlanta. I also get to play with more filters! The idea was to look at the various 'sketch' filters available in Corel PP9. Well, we got there and got a surprise. The Weese likes surprises of some sorts. Upper left is the real surprise: a covered bridge. Didn't know they made it as far south as Atlanta. ;-) This image is essentially just some of my stock intellihance to sharpen things up a bit and and to improve the contrast. Upper right is the same image with the regular crayon filter in use. Nice soft feel to it. I find it does not suit all images. One loses some detail. Lower left is the graphite pencil filter. Just for you, Vick! ;-) We saw the colored pencil version of this in the Altmonte, OH town hall. Lower right is a surprise! It is the conte crayon filter with all crayons turned off! (Why does he do this stuff??) Gots to play. Anyhow, the effect is very interesting. One has a LOT of control over an image by selecting the various crayon colors and background colors for the images. In this case, the background is a dove-gray color. I liked what I got, so I stopped playing. Changing the background color and not selecting any crayon colors makes no difference. Black, white, red backgrounds all resulted in the same effect if no conte colors are selected. Enjoy; thanks for viewing.

now what really gets fun is taking your effects & layering them on top of the original & use the different blendings to those... lots of playtime! luv the covered bridge, so romantic :]
