Description

Thank you everyone who commented on Squirrel's image and for the feelings of sympathy on his passing. He led a good life. Believe me. More tragic is the loss of a youngster such as Don Fuego earlier this year. Fu's loss was flattening. We were shattered. More shattered was Barton, aka The Pig. After two years in the household, he still did not have a steady friend (4-legged type), so Fu was for him. They hit it off well; in typical "pig" fashion, Fu was making Barton dread his appearance. One tough little guy. Realizing that ferrets are like yatchs, Lay's Potato Chips, and bicycles, now that we'd been thrown, we had to get back on: that very afternoon, we acquired a brace of wee fine beasties to console the lot of us. Fu is still missed, but dwelling on the newbies made the loss/transition a lot easier. Usually we come up with a lot of nicknames for our guys. Looking at these two it was obvious: goobers. Definitely goobers. Goober 1 is Niles and Goober 2 is Lilith. Anyone see a pattern developing? Niles seems to be about 2 weeks younger than Lilith. In this image, he is about 8 weeks old. Laid on the floor in what has become a characteristic pattern: no bones visible. Also being taught the joys of being stuffed in a sock. He seemed to like that; the older ferrets could not get to him, but they started to drag the entire sock cum Nilly. BTW: at my screen resolution, 1200 x780 I think, the top image is definitely life-size. Just some FYI stuff. Enjoy; thanks for viewing. Well, move is still in progress. Living in a hotel with 7 neurotic ferrets is growing old on everyone. They are bored. Things disapper under the beds. It is difficult getting up to go to work. Two more weeks, but who is counting with all this fun going on, eh?
