First of, let me say hello to all the renderosity maya community!
this is my first maya render and I've learnt a lot while doing it! it's a rather simple image, my focus was on learing the software rather than doing something complex..but it came out pretty good! initial meshes are modeled with lightwave and tweaked in maya..all texturing/lighting and render is in standard maya renderer. any C&C are very appreciated

That's awesome for a first try... My only coment will be the wood window-frame doesn't seen to math the quality of the other textures..... good luck learning Maya.... leo
