Description

Prince Rupert has need of the services of Lutha, his best swordswoman. However, Lutha was widowed several months previously, when her husband, who was Captain of Rupert's small army, was killed in a skirmish with a large band of bandits. Half-crazed with grief, Lutha fled to the abandoned Old Tower in the northwestern moors and, despite several entreaties to return to Rupert's palace, continues to remain in seclusion. Each time, Lutha bloodied the envoys, viciously attacking them with her swords until they had to flee for their lives. None of Rupert's people are now willing to try and bring her back, so the Prince has given the dwarves a contract to apprehend Lutha and return her to his service. Captain Gelli has assigned Annee, Kern, and Hannah the task, with the latter in charge. The dwarves have managed to find Lutha near the Old Tower; or rather, Lutha has seen them and come out to drive them away. Hannah tried to reason with the distraught widow, but Lutha just became more angry and agitated. The dwarves are in a real bind because Prince Rupert has made it clear that he will not tolerate any outcome save Lutha's return to service. While the odds are supposedly three-to-one in favor of the dwarves, those two swords of Lutha's are more than twice the length of their swords and her arm reach more than theirs as well. The dwarves keep moving and dodging around Lutha, trying to stay just out of reach of her swords. Kern has gotten behind Lutha, hoping Hannah and Annee can distract the crazy woman long enough for him to rush Lutha and knock her to the ground, where he can then hit her with the flat side of his axe and render her unconscious long enough for them to tie her up. Hannah is worried that someone is going to get hurt; and she fears it is most likely to be one of them, instead of the raging widow. Nevertheless, when Kern give her a quick nod, Hannah presses forward, hoping Lutha comes to her senses before it is too late. Credits: Lutha's armor is "Fantasy Armor for Victoria 3," which can be purchased at Runtime DNA. I don't know who created it. The Japanese swords are by BladeSmith. Lutha's morph and texture is EditMask's "Robin." Some parts of Hannah's and Annee's armor and weapons were modeled by John Malis, but most was done by me. Clouds are a Net freebie background picture. Sorry, I don't remember who took it and made it available. Old Tower was modeled and textured by Luca Roldophi. Weeds and grasses are "Grasslands" by Chris Oldershaw and Judith Ward (Transpond). V3 (Lutha), Hannah, Annee, and Kern's head modeled in Poser 5 by me, while Kern's body and outfit were modeled in Poser 4 by John Malis. Rendered in Bryce 5. Thanks to all whose efforts helped me to create this picture. And, thanks for looking! Jeremy

Actually, Django, I agree with you. I liked the version without the plants much better--and for the same reason you gave.
