Here are Chuck's personal words to the community:
I am a self-taught artist, formerly working in traditional or conventional media. For the last two years I have been experimenting with CG (Computer Graphics), and trying to transition from traditional/conventional media to digital imaging. In a few words, I simply love art and always have. Many of my images are "post-worked" by hand, re-scanned and manipulated in Photoshop. On occasion, I still use pencil, Prismacolor, Silverpoint, Pen & Ink or painting to achieve the desired effect. Whether executed the "old way" or the "new way" or a combination of both, which I often fall back on.
Art is art and it is the end result that is (hopefully) appreciated.

WOW ... fantastic composition mi friend ... very very well done ... Great colours too ... I love this one and I VOTE !
A new direction... But colorful and interesting as usual (you've spoiled us!). I like that it takes a moment for the mind to sort things out, with the gal sort of materializing before the eye. Then the flower is noted and fially those mysterious wings off to the side. Very nicely done.
Ooooh here's the full size one! I actually like this better if just for the enhanced detail! Awesome work!!
I like most when, as in this case, you use your endless imagination, not to speak about your ever present technique. In fantasy you can be merely one in the crowd, or stand out, as with this bright picture. Congrats!
details everywhere, excellent work my friend, I'm very very impressed. The light of the sky transforming into smoke, the eye (Ra I guess) watching from above, the way her arm crosses from one dimention to the next while her heart flyes away. Man you are goooooood!!
Ahhhh those little details, like the metallic reflections around the rim, glad I get to see both, for the detail and the overall composition, Fantastic!
I have learned and this is proof - there is more to see here than the downsize - I to have found myself posting much larger work for the same reason -
Gazing upon this image, my heart stopped in sheer amazement at the simplicity of image yet complexity of content! Breathtaking in symbolism and detail. This entire image means more to me that you know...it mirrors my soul. Thank you! It is breathtaking how you manage to capture a part of me with each rendering...
I missed so much in the down sized version! This so much more breathtaking then the smaller version! Bravo!
this version is amazing too :)
Phenomenal work Chuck, absolutely stunning. Well done! Steve

I'm the hand that give you a rose...I'm the eye that will with passion look at your work...stunning...I'm breathless
