Description

Our Jack Russell Terrier is now 10 weeks old. For the past three weeks we've been attending a training class for puppies at our local Pet Smart store. We have five more sessions to go. Juli Jane Russell ('cause she ain't no Jack!) is a very sharp little puppy, full of energy and usually two moves ahead of my wife, Karen, and me. One of my pet peeves are those stickers on cars that proclaim; "I'm a proud parent of a student at South Park School." Don't know why. Just seems like bragging and that irritates me. Or perhaps, it is because we have a son who has special needs and has never been on an honor roll, even though he struggles every day to get things right. On the other hand, we have found ourselves to be almost insufferable about how smart Juli is. We were joking about it and came up with this silly idea. Hope you enjoy the joke as much as we have. The vehicle is a freebie from 3D Cafe. Everything else is original by me modeled in Bryce 5. The closer house in the background is an actual "approximate" model of our own home. The farther back house is my neighbors. Trees and bushes are close to how things actually look. Dog, man, and woman are Poser 5 figures. Thanks for looking! Jeremy

LMAO...very cute...we have a ferret so i=unless she can get a degree in hiding all our stuff...we are hopeless LMAO...as for the sticker thing...I can relate...my oldest son is also a "special needs" child and is bright and smart and wonderful but i too think I will probably not be seeing that sticker on my car...think they should just change those to..."I am a PROUD PARENT" now wouldn't that be refreshing :O) EXCELLENT JOB on this :O)

I love Ann0314's response! I am a proud parent also, with a sense of humor and I love your sticker message! hehe. My brother is dislexic, phonetically as well. So I grew up teaching him how to read differently.....sorry to ramble.

those car stickers aren't about the parents. the reinforcement is for those kids. every child has needs, special or no, positive recognition being one of 'em. I've worked with kids in youth sports for over 12 years, a kind word or postive recognition seems to be a constant need, while dismissmals and criticisms can linger for years. find something your kids excel at, put the sticker on your car.

Top notch work as always. I agree with all above ... lets all put PROUD PARENT stickers on the bumper. just scissor off the bottom line ... except for doggie school (and ferrets too) hehehe. Oh, I want one for CATS!!! Dwayne
