Description

"Try to realise it's all within yourself - no-one else can make you change" George Harrison, from Within You Without You (1967) I was racking my brains for a suitably ambiguous title, and somehow it seemed to fit. It hadn't occurred to me until now, but the countryside stroll I went on as the sun set tonight put me in a certain mindset, a kind of quiet joy to be alive; maybe some of this carried through into this image. Photoshop 7 and Painter 8 in pretty equal measure. Thank you for viewing and your feedback is much appreciated :-)

Joyful? Yes, I think so. Yet the framing effect hints at voyeurism to me ;-) However there's nothing sleazy about it. Just a chance meeting of reflections on a sunny morning.

Awwww! Yes yes, I totally understand what u mean and I think everyone experiences those 'lil spiritual and deep emotions once in a while! And what a joy it is to feel it indeed! A most intriguing image...leaves me perplexe...once again! ;) It surely reflects what u felt and that's also why it's so intriguing I think cos it's a very personal experience and to describe it is almost impossible...can see the feeling though....

"...a kind of quiet joy to be alive" - wonderful words with the picture that tells it too; those moments are the precious - and it's so nice to see those moments in a picture that stays forever, or at least almost :-) Thank you for this picture with all the words and feelings in it!

Before reading your words, this work appeared kind of violent to me. You've torn off the face while the world around crumbles and blinds with its light. Its interesting that the viewer can project themselves into the piece so easily while getting a different feeling than what was intended in its inception. Its a very strong picture.

It is very difficult to find the right words for your work.It is more than that.It is a feeling I just have to accept.Perfection is the nearest I can use but the touch is the right one. Exl.image!

Love the colors and subtle power. Reminds me of a Dave McKean cover for a SANDMAN comic. Good show, old sport!
