Janice is an actress and a mermaid, one of several on the Seatails site. This particular piece of her was done to illustrate one of her plays - The Mermaid at Midnight.

Beautiful character. I think what would really finish the image off for me would be to have a water plane with her tail fin half submerged and some nice reflections in there.
