Description

There actually was a Bittersweet Auto Farm back in the late seventies or early eighties between Junction City and Manhattan, Kansas. It was out in the country, surrounded by fields and hills, really river bluffs. I don't think it's been there for quite some time, but I always delighted in that name for a used car lot. The real lot didn't have the classics that this one does. I felt whimsical and populated it with a range of classic or very popular vehicles from the horseless carriage on the left up to fairly recent times. I'm a bit disappointed in this pic as it should have trees going up the draws between the hills, but every time I put them in, the dern thing crashed. Three times, before I gave up and left them out. Most of the models are freebies from 3D Cafe. But some are from other sources. Most are 3ds models imported into Bryce. The "Office" though is adapted from the Boot Hill Garage by Captain Crazy. One of the 1920's or '30s sedans is Era-1930 Complete by lwanmtr and katje. Figures are Poser 4 and 5 people most by me. The little yellow sportscar is by Peter Staub, I think. I've improved it with new textures and working headlights. The lot's sign also has working lights. Fence was a freebie. Yellow pickup is by Onnetz. Dog is Oscar by Traveler and wheatfields are also by him. Juniper trees are by Scott Tucker and the others are from Modalz's Old Wood trees with textures by Judith Ward. Thanks to everyone mentioned and unmentioned that contributed to this picture. Oh yeah, the graveled area is about 100 terrains. Yes, I'm that insane.

Well, heck, I had to do something with all those models! ha! No, Retired, that little sport car is Stege. Beyond that I don't know anything about it, except I liked its looks. Perhaps, Django or some of our other German friends could enlighten us.

The work on your cars is always fine, i think tho , the background could use some more detail.

Good work, nice variety :) Yeah, some more trees or something around would be good for the picture.
