What a beautiful portrait! I love the sence of memorys stretching back a long way. I also like the white edge that goes around the old mans' face and shoulders - it looks very realistic. You could get a better sence of depth by makeing the shades in the background lighter the further back they go.

Thanks for the comments/crits! FluffyAnna: I think you're right: a bit more atmosheric perspective would do nicely, but I tend to over work my stuff and then my scanner makes it worse! I suppose I could use photoshop to correct this, but, I'm afraid doing that would change it into somthing different...hmm...that could be a good thing, though! -Anthony
