Description

Well, if there ever was an anticlimax to a week of modelling, this is it. Wings3D for the mesh, and rendered in Bryce for kicks, after having spent somewhere around an hour importing and saving the whole 350,000 face thing from its original program. Hope you like, the robot is basically a welder, should end up in a scene sometime in the near future. drac

Awesome work- I like the route you took with the legs. I always say if something isnt looking right, turn it into a jet pack. excellent.

No kidding - I thought welder the second I saw it even before I scrolled down! Great job. Very utilitarian, just like a proletariat-bot should be.

Excellent bot Drac! I applaud your decision to go with an "anti-gravity" design because it makes the bot look even more advanced. By the way, Boeing Corp. is spending very huge bucks in anti-gravity R&D. If there wasn't something to it they wouldn't be spending all that loot. I predict that you will see practical and commercial applications using it within your lifetime.

Anyone remember that big bad floating robot in The Blackhole. The body kinda reminds me of that. I like the route you've gone too. Looks very cool. I always wondered why make androids with legs rather than wheels or AG thrusters.
