I don't know how you could make this better. It looks excellent as it is.
Looks pretty darn excellent to me too! What do YOU think is wrong with it?
Maybe too much shine, makes it look hard or like glass. Turn the shine down a bit and see what you get.
Maybe Bit of transparancy (seperate colour refraction maybe)....you could make a nice alien mucus. looks great already though.
