Description
two proposals for the an opening illustration of an article covering mars safaris. the middle is just the b&w-pic. like everything i do, just for fun. the bottom pic comes close to the original render. the dudes are alphamaps i made. grain, writing and B&W in PS. i fear some of the detail was lost in the compression:( but i hope you will like it anyway:-)

I like the last one. "MARS" text doesn't take away from your image as much. Notice the R puts quite a bit of coloration in your vehicle almost as if it was a unintentional strip on a film. I really like the BW version though because it reminds me of the novels around the timeframe of HG Wells.
As for me I would call for the upper one. The coloration and composition looks like military or some old soviet poster. Something like "we took Mars today. we'll take Jupiter tomorrow" Great thing.
