Description

My final piece for the February Theme. This is an image I created three years ago for a black and white album cover (click here for the original). Like the piece I uploaded yesterday I felt it stood up as an image in its own right, so I removed the text and colour-tinted it. Ingredients by the way are my hand (of course) wrapped with an electric power cable, my ear, my closed eye, my tongue, a white earphone, several old audio leads and also the volume dial and headphone socket of my personal stereo... no I'm not insane... Many thanks for taking a look and for your feedback :-)

@korborak: By scanning all these things in and carefully blending them together in Photoshop. It's very important to get the tones equal so that it appears seamless and therefore "natural looking" ;-)

I like the new one better, too. Very well done! Your explanation to korborak heightens my respect for your work. This image DOES look natural, none of the parts have a tacked-on look. I like the warm color, too. Not surprisingly, I have never seen a hand with an ear in it. And I just noticed the ear has eyelashes. Well, they say an ear in the hand is worth two in the, um, nevermind.

I like this one much better. Has a natural flow to it throughout the image. I really like how you melded the hand into an earlike shape. It's seamless which adds to the "realism" (so to speak). I think it's cool...excellent work!

the wrongorder.. I know.. but this is shining to me. beside the fact you use my beloved yellow in your trademarked golden tone (which I adore) this is a wonderful compo. It reminds me of that piece of you with the ear in teh hand that made me drool more than one year ago :)
