Description

3DSMax - Poser - Photoshop ----------------------------- Something different from what I've been doing lately. This time no (nude) women, but a bunch of limbs holding a mystical object. I truly have no idea where the idea came from. Basically it evolved out of a light study. I started playing around with the sub surface scattering feature that comes with finalRender. It's supposed to make skin look like real skin (hope you see that a bit in this picture), but it's quite nice for glass effects too. As for a story behind this one... erm, there's none that I am aware of. Just called it 'Mystik' because it looks a little mystik. Any comments welcome...

The skin looks good, but I'm not crazy about how the glass torus turned out. Is it even supposed to be glass? If so, maybe reducing the multiplier on the light might help? Just doesn't look like glass, assuming it's supposed to look real. Good composition though.
