A few things : Your bump maps are up waaaay too high. The models in the back aren't bad at all, but the textures you are using are way too low in resolution. This image ends up being a pixel study, and the plus-shaped "stars" are unacceptable. Did you render it small and just size it up? Render it big, instead, and keep your details...

I agree, the astronauts look like they were swimming in a tank full of acid. You will definitely need to literally "go back to the drawing board" and completely redo the image.
