Description
I did this image in charcoal while looking at a stone torso. I set up the lighting to really try to bring out the musculature with the light reflecting from below. Comments welcome.

Dang, whose torso is that? I like the attention to the structure, which is good, being a structure study. Alot of people don't consider the teres major as well as you have here. Everything is done amazingly well, the wrap around of the latissimus dorsai meeting with the rib cage, all of it is well observed. Still the question remains, whose torso is that?
It's me after this winter - I am working out... :)
WOW - this is really stunning - you managed very well to work out the structure... - brillinat technique...

u did achieve a very interesting result with light, keep it up!!
very nice :)
Wonderful work....for some reason, the torso intrigues (sp?) me and aside from faces, it's my favorite body "part" to draw. Maybe it's the subtlety of it's body language...not as overt as the rest of the anatomy. Anyway...keep up the good work!
this is an excellent study of the torso... the definition you have achieved with charcoal is superb... great study!!
Beautiful, I love charcoal drawings of the human figure. Great shadows and lighting. Keep up the great work! Cris =)
This is very skillfully and nicely done!
Very well done. I thought this was a crome statue photo at first from the thumbnail.
