Description

3D Studio Max 5 - Hardly any post work I had this toothbrush lying around with all these interesting shapes and forms and I wanted to model it in Max. Then, when it came to texturing the thing, I decided to make this a self-promotional pic. RoggelFresh! for a little freshness in your life! ;) ----------------- Only one skylight in the scene for all lighting. Gotta love GI!

Great job roggel!! If I were to add anything it would be a fine texture to the bristels to make them look like they're made of lots of tiny bristles. Great job on the modelling and presentation!! Mike.

I have that tooth brush! I have the green one. I'd have to say that same thing as MBaker, you need to have a bristle texture or have them all modeled. I also think the tooth past could be better, it's too perfectly on the bristles, and there's quite a bit for one person to brush their teeth. Great modeling, rendering and composition with the background.

very good likeness. How did you get the 3 curves in the middle of the brush. did you use bend mod or did you boleen an object or what? Only negative thing i can add is the bristles and the lighting. but they are very nicely done.

trogboy: it was all box modelling, so no difficult boolean or bending operations. Good point about the bristles. I have been toying around with transparency maps for a while, but they didn't give the right effect. But now I guess a good bump and color map might do the trick. About the toothpaste, I always use that much and don't forget this is like a commercial, promotional pic; it SHOULD rest perfectly on the bristles ;)
