One of the best renderings of the Hankster's Victory model I've seen, very nice, congrats!

Damn, how many times do I have to tell people who use this model to take off the extra flags and sails. Hackster made the model with extra flags and sails so modellers could put the ship in any weather situation. They are not supposed to be all rendered at once. And don't say this isn't supposed to show the ship realistically! Realistically, she, or any ship, would only have flown flags in port or during first contact with another ship at sea to establish recognition, friend or foe. This was Standard operating procedure. Also, the running rigging is missing from the sails. And the only time the gunports would be open was during battle or on calm days to air out the lower decks, which reeked of too many bodies in too small a space. And before anyone goes and says the ports are open because she is going into battle, where are the ships in the fleet? This was a Capital Ship, or Command vessel in the van , or middle of the fleet, with escort vessels ahead and behind her. Oh, and the lower courses, or sails would be triced up, or brailed up to the lower yards to reduce the possibility of catching fire from the sparks of her own firing upper gun deck weapons and incoming shot, should anyone say she was here shown going into battle. As I have suggested to others who use this model, if you render it in a realistic scene, do your research........

Geez FitArtistSF...lighten up. Beton didn't say he was going for a 100% exact model or anything, just stated it's available in the store. It's a nicely represented image within the atmposphere thus makes a nice picture. If this was a physical scale model, then I could see some beef. But this picture is excellent regardless. Excellent work Beton!!!!

This looks so good I've saved it as reference material for a Hella construction kit of Victory I'm making. Mel3d: This is a SHIP, not a boat!

Ahhhhhhh. Who cares about the extra sails, etc. This is a superb rendering. At least there are no aircraft contrails in the sky!! ;-D

Although I do enjoy accuracy in images (especially historical) I still have to admire the beauty and skill of the overall image. I do not believe I could achieve anything like this in the next five years!
