Description
Felled branches, Bradgate Park, Leicestershire, UK.
The centuries-old folly at the top of the hill (in the distance at left of shot) is called Old John. This is believed to be named after an old retainer of the fifth Earl of Stamford, who erected it in his memory after John, the retainer, was killed accidentally here. John was known to be fond of his drink, and so the building was constructed in the shape of a flagon of ale, complete with handle :-)
