Modelling 3ds/Bryce Rendering Bryce
This should have been the beginning of a grandious scene of an alien spaceship launching from a templesite ... but I must have misjudged the abilities of my PC (PIII900 - 728 MB) This scene was alone was too much it seems. It took about 25 minutes to save/load the scene .. it is 560 MB in size. What did I do.

wow! it looks like the wait was worth it. Excellent modeling, and the render looks superb. excellent work!
If you want your pic to be smaller in size you open it with a photoshop type of a program and then save it as a .jpeg or a .gif
Excellent job modelling this.
Its the bryce scene not the pic, but thanks for the tip anyway.
Excelent modeling. It sounds like you have enough memory and cpu for the projects. Your video card and hard drive might have something to do with the long load time. If your hd is running at 5600rpm that could be one reason. If your video card is depending on hard drive space to render objects, it could slow down things considerably. I wouldn't worry to much unless you are crashing bryce while working. A little patience will go a long way. I'm running a little bit newer system than you with actually less memory and it takes a 300+meg file about 3 to 5 minutes to open.
I agree with Z Shadow also in may be the curved pieces you have if there created with another program and imported as meshes the polygons would cause enormous slowing sown especially with all the pieces that look like they may be. The ship is great though i love how you even included the tubes connecting the spheres. Great Job on this.
This is an excellent render and a beautiful model! My compliments!
Great Modeling! Methinks it's probably your textures more than anything, stacking up to that awesome file size! Models I've been working on which are similarly complex (in terms of object count, anyways!) dont' come close to 300+ MBs, so perhaps your wonderful textures are eating it up? One way to find out would be to open it, "Select All", and set all mats to default, then re-save it under a different file name...
Wow great model.
