Description

This one started out with an idea for a forest and lake type scene. Got a little out of hand I guess, too many developers. :)

Thanks. Yeah, I should add, that the smoke coming up from what one of the distant buildings was Photoshop as are the 'wakes' around the edges of any water. Most of my stuff I use alot of photoshop work after it's rendered to brighten or enhance or even completely shift colors. But basically yes, it started in Bryce as 4 terrain models for the cityscape, etc... a few fake vertical cloud plane layers for the smokey effect. (by that I mean they're facing the camera lens, not horizontal to the sky) Using a few of those saves hours of rendering time vs. Volumetric clouds which usually crappy anyway (at least given my patience tolerance level! :)

Looks a little bit like what it is ( a terrain mesh) but so what, it's still pretty incredible and very imaginative,,,,,,,,,,ace !! ;-)

The light and the clouds create an interesting, slightly gothic city athmosphere. You might improve the water a little. Anyway, a great picture!

It's really a beautiful image with a great lighting! Just a question...how do you made it? This question is for me, just for to know how make a image like this with so many objects :) Did you use a program of drawing or not? Thank you in advance for your answer:)

I can't believe what I am seeing. I never knew Bryce was capable of a render of this immensity. You have created a true classic that I hope all Renderosityheads should be appreciative of. This deserves nothing less than an Excellent ranking and a vote. Incredible job!

Again, thank you everyone! It's not really as complicated an image as it appears but it did require a bit of RAM to pull it off because the closest terrain models were at 2048 resolution. One of these days soon I'll write up a quick tutorial if anyone's interested and I'll post it on my site. It won't be for >this< exact image but for this type of image. I have another image with the viewer standing down on that little bridge and looking up.. but I used my upload limit for today so it will have to wait until tomorrow. It's a more dramatic image I think but less going on and I actually prefer it to this one. Again thanks! I appreciate all the great comments.!
