thank you all, the rain is actually that good old photoshop trick, noise directionnally blurred and then value adjusted.
dude, awesome idea with incorporating some photoshop tricks. very useful and unique tip i might add. i can't give you any tips on how to make it more cool.

Nice image! Did you model Slave 1 on your own? Just a sugestion, but you may want to add a small light coming out of the cargo hold that slightly highlights the ramp. But great job!
