Description
The terrain was made from a photo of a cloud and given a material from "High Resolution Terrains 4" (available at Daz 3D). Sky and ambient light by the "Illhorn" HDRI (comes with Bryce 7: Content/HDRI/Horo Wernli/Landscapes/Probes) and the key light by the sun. A desert like region with a parched river.

Ein Bild das auch aus einem Western stammen könnte. Sehr realistisch.
Danke lordi. Ist eigentlich dasselbe Bild wie das vorherige, nur Material, Himmel und Licht geändert.
nice work...
Thank you pc_artist.
Superb terrain. I feel thirsty just looking at it. As always, great work. :-)
Thank you Staticon. As I mentioned in my comment to lordi that this is the same image as the last one (Marred Land), only the material, sky and lighting changed. Small change, big difference.
Hope it's not the future of the Rhine Valley. It's so hot here
Thank you. Yes, I agree, though I am living in the Rhone valley ...
Ein gutes Beispiel wie sehr diese Veränderungen ein Bild ganz anders wirken lassen.
Danke lordi, ich war auch überrascht und habe damit nun wieder etwas dazu gelernt.
Awesome
Thank you MagikUnicorn.
Cheers...
You're still getting way better results out of Bryce than most people. It makes me wonder what you could do with Blender or something else more modern! And no, I am not trying to pressure you into moving to different software if you don't want to, just speculating out loud in case the suggestion interests you.
It's a beautiful desolate landscape.
Thank you fireangle. I had tried Daz Studio, Blender and others over time. I always came back to Bryce because the best program is the one you know best. Though Bryce does have limits.
Wow! Absolutely beautiful and realistically well done. My hat off to you, Sir Horo :-)
Thank you Eugenius, you can put on your hat again :)
