I have chills...this was powerful, sad, awesome :)
Thank you.
I love that 1950's luggage ... it's even older than the lovely song :-)
And those last 2 jets suggest she must be some sort of secret agent ... but I won't tell anyone ;-)
I don't know much about planes,,,,they just looked expensive and private. lol The luggage is not old, it is vintage and expensive at the antique store. :-)
Very nice series. She seems sad. To leave him.
Yes, she is, Thanks for the comment.
If that luggage isn't old, then it's simulated 'fake' vintage -- not genuine vintage -- lol.
In any case (no pun intended), being in such excellent condition for such a historic item is what I love about it ... and yes, such things usually ain't cheap! :-)
Oh ... and after being distracted by the awesome luggage, I finally noticed the big picture here:
She, being a secret agent, needs to vanish underground, and sever all contact with her lover for his own safety. Also, it will require 3 different planes to reach her remote destination where her critical world-saving mission will take place.
I should have had you write the story before I posted the images. lol
This is a great series. I agree with max- that she's going on a secret mission, but I don't think he's noticed that the next to last picture is of a military attack plane, not something that could carry passengers. So she's probably flying that one, on some sort of military operation in an undisclosed location.
Or I could have had you write the story also. ;-) Thanks for the comment.
A super series of images, difficult to choose the best one, they are all absolutely fantastic. Well done Lyla 👍🙋
Thanks, Saby.
Wow...you really did it this time Lyla, you practically made a storyboard for an animation with your awesome series of images. I like the presentation on this art work you did...congrats its beautifully done! :-)
Thanks, Johnny, Really appreciate your comment.
Love the series. I always thought that P,P&M wrote that song. John Denver had such a good voice. So sad how he died. - Bob
First song I learned to play on a guitar I got for Christmas many years ago. Love it. Thanks for your comment.
(I'm at 75 minutes or so in your wonderful gallery...I could sit here all day, but I have to get ready to leave in a bit...I'll comment on this and then on your most recent one...)
This one's a whole journey. I love that a few of your fans see a military operation here (well, 2 of your planes are definitely not passenger planes; but her presence, clothes, bags, etc definitely speak of a civilian. If she's undercover, she's really undercover!) (and, as for the leather, it doesn't look distressed to me so much as just used, aged, and with character...that's just my 2 cents.).
The 1st image is wonderful---a simple door and wall, with lovely decay. And a young woman looking ready to go but with mixed feelings. Love her look, the shadows, and textures...
The next two show her moods (more splatter background on cream hues---you do this really well), incl her waking her lover. Then the woman on the tar mac. (I have no idea what a tarmac is, or what it has to do with "tar," so I'll just say she's on the runway so I don't look like a total dunce...) And yeah, that plane is a passenger plane. That's definitely for passengers...
But then the next two look very military; and the 2d image seems to pack them in! This definitely evokes a special mission. But then you end with her yearningly looking out the window. This is a beautiful evocation of the lyrics...and you used several styles too. This is a whole story...really well done, Lyla. A visualization of those famous lyrics...
Thanks a whole bunch for your detailed comment, love it when you visit my gallery.
Great story telling in this series and superb song as well :)
Appreciate your comment. Thanks.
