Description
Even though the bio is of another person, it felt like you were scanning to see if you yourself survived. I literally felt relieved when I saw the survivor marker pop up on the screen when I scanned the card - I tell you, the exhibit really did insert you into the experience.
And honestly I thought she didn't survive the trip from the beginning because the card I got said cabin number unknown so I assumed it was because she wasn't around to ask. But I was wrong - she did make it.
Leila Saks Meyer already lost her father, but then lost her husband to the tragedy of the Titanic - all in the same week. But thankfully she survived so someone could look after their toddler in New York. Remarrying in 1914, she continued to travel a lot. She eventually passed away in 1957 and had a non-cemetery burial.
