A well-armed militia will shoot down every drone and nuclear missile the enemy fires at them!
The only way to stop them is before they are fired
When I think about what would have happened at Normandy in 1944 if Germany had had a well-armed militia I cringe.
When I read about that D Day it seems to be more luck than good planing that won the day if Germany had off moved up their Tigers Tanks in stead of letting him sleep the outcome would have changed
It's pretty much a nightly thing here in Kansas City. Shooting after shooting.
And to think that I used to think that Belfast got things tight
As I understand it Hitler believed that the invasion of Normandy was a feint and that the Allied invasion of Europe would come at the Pas de Calais. I suspect that he held the tanks in reserve to meet what he thought would be the "real" threat. If awakened, he would not have released Rommel's tanks and might simply have gone back to sleep, congratulating himself for keeping his head while his generals panicked.
It is evidence of his incompetence that he believed the Allies had resources enough to mount massive invasions at two different locations within a matter of weeks.
All of which has nothing to do with the cavalier availability of firearms in the United States.
