Why are they trying to break a hole in the glass instead of simply climbing out from the top? Do they even know the way upward is open? Or are they too focused on the obstacle in front of them to see it? This image raises questions that reach far beyond the scene itself. It becomes a metaphor for the human condition: How often do we struggle against perceived limitations without realizing the way out has always been open? How often do we focus so intensely on problems that we fail to see the freedom just above us? Perhaps the figures have become so accustomed to their surroundings that they no longer perceive the possibility of escape. Perhaps they believe the glass is sealed—because no one ever showed them otherwise. Or they were taught that the only way forward is through resistance. And so, this glass becomes a symbol of perception, of limiting beliefs, of clinging to what is familiar. And it leaves us with one essential question: What if the cage we feel trapped in was never truly locked? ... today I feel philosophic :D ------------------------------------------- It took nearly a week to finalize this image. I started last Wednesday and finished it today. It rendered for 5 hours at setting Ultra with "Render Knight". Since I only have 2–3 hours a day for working in Poser, this scene required a lot of fine-tuning. Every light and surface was reflected in the glass bowl, and I had to adjust a lot to make the figures inside clearly visible. I originally wanted to use HDRI lighting, but the reflections were so intense that you couldn't see the interior at all. So I decided to place the scene inside a box and use only two lamps for lighting and a light from the Background.
