Description
This video is the final demo in my attempt to animate using Volumetrics. I'm pretty satisfied with the result. Most 'sizzling' and 'floating' artifacts are eliminated.
Please see my blog post in the MojoWorld User forum for details. TFV.

You've done an ace job .. feels like you could walk around in there...reminds me of the QTVRs. In full screen there is some stuttering, is that a post process issue or framerates? I would imagine 360ยบ pan at 30 frames per second and 1 min runtime = 30frames x 60seconds = 1,800 frames / 360ยบ = 5 frames per 1ยบ of rotation bearing in mind the ditance from the camera to the nearest rocks...im guessing would cause some chop in those 5 frames.
I'm not knocking the work... far from it...just trying to workout what optimal smoothness would be and how many frames that would equate to?
Thx for posting...good to see Mojo still inspiring you. I opened it today for the fist time in a long time to attempt to create some MJT Lightning with KH Lux lighting at the top of the lightning and after 1 hour a test render crashed and that's it...mojo is dead for me now. Its been a fun ride and Ill always be hanging out here.
Interesting formations...very well done. I'm having some crashes with volumetrics ....just recently after 2 days of a render...I'm going to keep working on it!
@WoZ - Ta M8! ๐๐ You're right WoZ-san - 5 frames per degree is pretty choppy. I probably should have either rendered at 60fps or specified 2 minutes for the full rotation. Either way, it adds up to double the render time. Maybe I need another Lenovo box.
@aktati - ๐ Thanks, Doll! One trick that I use when working with Volumetrics is to frequently save and then Revert to re-load the file, especially just before rendering.
You've both been around as long or longer than I have, so you know that basically everything that I've done in the last twenty years was leading up to this point. I've always been interesting in animating with Mojo.
Really cool... congrats!
Nice to โseeโ you! Thanks for the comment!
