Howdy,
There is not a lot about me to know, I am a wife of 46 years, mother of three and grandmother of five. I got my first computer in 99. That was when I began my journey to fill my time doing something creative. I began writing my thoughts in poetry and in 2007 published a book of my poetry titled "Stairway To My Dreams." I learned how to build a web page and learned how to design my own graphics and I learned HTML. My friend suggested I put up some of my graphic designs for other to use so I started my Graphics By Doris site. In my quest to find good graphics to use with my designs I found Renderosity where I bought beautiful backgrounds and tubes from the talented artist here. I then got Poser to learn how to make my own tubes. I didn’t start to learn Poser right away because I discovered I had cancer so I had surgery and radiation treatments. When my treatments were over I began to learn how to use Poser last summer [2009] with the help of my friend Pamela Delli Colli. I have came a long way in Poser but still have much to learn. I want to thank you all for viewing my images and for your comments on my work. May God bless you all with love, peace & happiness. You can find my book at Publish America:

But where is the cat
fluffykatt
The cat is afraid of the wolf so it's hiding in the attic.

I can recall that it was in the late 50s the TVs came to Northern Ireland one channel black and white picture mono sound and lets us not forget the wee dot that came up at 2200hrs when it all went off Most houses having an outside WC I remember getting washed in the tin bath hot water don't make a joke you would boil up water on the cast iron stove and mixed it in. no such thing as a one hour soak in and out I remember also from the late 50s my Granny having one light in her home times have changed

Yes, I'm 81so I remember back in the 50s. I did live in the city & we had natural gas to cook on & a hot water heater, but we didn't have much for entertainment Just a couple of channels on a black & white tv & it went off at 10 o'clock. I did like to walk & I did a lot of that. My brother would sit under a big tree in the backyard & make mudpies, that was fun to me. I wouldn't want to be a kid in these days, I'll take my childhood any old day.

I will tell you something, The school I went to well when we were learning to write, we had a bit of what now days is called slate and used a smaller bit and made our marks by rubbing the two together when we finish a quick rub with a wet cloth removed the marks but I had a great childhood, no running about the streets in gangs no blade in my pocket no worries when I was in school of a gun man or child coming in, Now days well you can keep them, at least we were safe now days over here a child is not safe even in a school bus

Love the picture. Reading the comment reminds me of my childhood. No TV, the phone was on a pole in town and everybody used it but not often. Life was different back then. I am so thankful to have those memories, thank you for reminding me of those days.

Thank you for your comment

I never had TV as a kid. Played with my friends, or with an all-metal construction set, or walked to my aunt's house who happily fired-up her massive kitchen range with firewood and made yummy pancakes!
Nice image:)
