Keep up the animation work you are doing...I highly commend you for the perseverance in moving forward! 3D animation takes time and patience and is also good at taking over your computer while it renders away! I understand what you are going through...I am presently rendering a 860 frame scene that will total an estimated 311 hours of rendering time at completion. The long renders provide me an excuse to do many of the other things that need to be done in life. Good luck in your future work! :-)

Very many thanks for the comment Johnny Yes it is a very slow job I no longer do over night renders
I find 1440 by 1080 a good size much bigger and just forget about ur life... Do u keep all ur past work on ur computer or like me open the bin when u render as AVI u have to stop thinking in MB and go with GB

To answer your question concerning my past work...yes I do keep it stored in an external USB drive for access to the editing software I use. I find myself doing test animations in AVI mode and for my final renders usually switch to PNG individual rendered images. I find this works best, just in case I have an interruption during rendering due to a PC crash, I can just pick up where the last image was done and continue from there, otherwise I would normally loose everything in a PC crash due to software memory errors or some other reason. (some of these long animation renders are taking me up to 2 weeks to finish rendering and I just don't have the time to do them over again) Keep up the good work! :-)
