im not going to say wow, it is a great model and all but i just dont feel like it :) i have one question, is the handle bit a bumpmap or did you model that part too? tough work man...

Yep, this looks really damn good... I am also curious about the texture on the handle... you didn't mention what you rendered with so it could be anything from actual boolean operations to a heightfield bitmap... it doesn't look like a simple bump map to me. Kudos again on the detail, its nice.
