Description

Here’s Page 20 at last! Now that things are mostly working properly again, I’ll be working harder to speed things up with the story. I’m going to be adding a few links below to some of Jim Wolaver’s fun little side-story – which will explain some of the Director’s concerns about security penetrations. That has become a huge concern for him after the intel he received from Firefly (AKA Miho) during their meeting. Click here to see that meeting You can click here to see the page where Ar sits in on the debriefing at the faux (diversionary) office. A young and very precocious lady named Annette has managed to penetrate security at the fake office and is rapidly figuring out it’s just a small part of a much larger – and very secret – black ops organization. To make matters even more…… interesting……. Annette has a twin sister named Janette. You can click here to see Jim's story with these two very clever cuties! Stop by and show Jim some love! I am working on the next several pages bit by bit, as well as doing a bit of re-writing on a few pages that will appear soon. And….. I will be re-starting the G4 back-story I started some time ago. G4 and Abby have a bit of history before T.N.A. For a look at Abby's past adventures, CLICK HERE. As always, thanks so much for stopping by and for all your amazing support, comments and friendships. And…. THANK YOU for all the wonderful messages and congratulations on Jo’s and my 50th anniversary! You all ROCK!! Rod's Lair Girls From T.N.A. Website Rod's Blog Facebook Twitter Girls From T.N.A. First, Rod, I can only do one right now, so I can keep resting. But if I'm gonna do one, I'm gonna do an installment of your ongoing saga! (I saw all the others, incl the calendar and basement views---I'll comment next time!) (The basement really looks classy---I really like it. More next time...)

Well this is a most unusual page: On the surface, it's all instructions and a mass gathering. And, on the surface, it could have come off as a ho-hum gathering where the viewer is kind of bored, waiting for something to happen. But with your light, your array of poses, your always amazing outfits, and the unfolding of some very heavy story points, it's a really bursting, engaging page. And you really set off each woman strikingly---against a really perfect hue (the bright yellow-green wall, with those great Rod details---ie, screens, data, great patterns, etc: stuff right out of 2001, only much more complex/enticing). Also, this is the first installment I remember where you asterisked 'footnotes'! (If you've done it before, I just don't remember.) And I love that one footnote actually corrects one of your characters! ("Well, maybe.... Stay tuned..."). Love that you put in your 2 cents, lol. (Hey, you're the creator, you can stick your nose in anywhere you want!) And explaining terms (via footnotes) is a really good thing---it takes away the burden of having your characters do it, and keeps us up on the terminology so typical of these stories.

The frames are really stunning Rod: Your array of models who look as good as ever, the outfits, the light and shade, and your choice of lots of dark colors for the women---so they stand out brilliantly against your background---all make these really visually striking. And you managed to get in a lot of text without interfering with the visuals---that may seem small to some, but it's a big deal because it's a factor you have to contend with. I'm impressed. (I mean, this coulda been a mess, lol! Where the reader is peering over the page, thinking, "wait---who? what? she said what???" Captions handled A-OK! Kudos.)

and Layla isn't 18 yet? I guess I forgot from earlier. (She's not 18? Are you ___ing me??? Well, she'll be terrifying when she's 20.) And I like the sudden story about strange intel, and the shooting. (These are so close to reality it's scary: The intel thing reminds me not only of the hacking we've seen---into our govt---but also what the trump people did to the democrats, just revealed yesterday. And the shooting---well we're all way too familiar with that phenomenon.) And you've swiveled the view from the Director on the right to the Director in the middle, and then given closeups; then you've ended with Ar (Ar, right? please let me be right!) in a car---you left us with an outdoor shot after all the crowded interior shots, incl a setup for the next installment (the diversion-office)...it's always good to leave a crowded office scene with an open street. Finally, I'm peering into your screens, monitors, etc---the detail is awesome. (What's ON those! You could be sending signals to people in Hamburg or Reykjavik...) I still wanna know where these women buy their clothes: It's a great looking bunch. Even their fatigues are classier than anything I've worn with a tuxedo. Terrific job with a page that has lots of challenges (lots of 'group shots', lots of text, etc) And Kinnie's wings are like tiffany glass---dynamite. Great job, Rod. And Happy Anniversary once more! I'll be back for more soon, I hope.

My friend...If I am commenting it is because your art intrigues me. Today though, my comment is a blanket message to all of my wonderful friends here. You see, I recently traveled due to a medical condition and missed most of what you posted this week.

My result is that I have a potentially life ending condition, ... BUT ...There are good chances for a moderate to full recovery. That means many more years of seeing your wonderful art. Please accept my apology for missing this week. Know that I am enjoying my gallery visit today. If you get multiple comments from me today, there is no need to read further.

If for any reason you are experiencing lung problems, feel free to contact me and I will gladly share more detail with you on my experiences.

I'm glad you clarified what "package" meant in panel 4. Taken together with Ar's "penetration" comment and given the lack of class the people who sent Charlie to his death in the first place, people might read that all wrong! Seriously though, there is a lot going on here!

I wonder if anyone is going to pick-up on a chick dressed like a biker showing up at a high-end looking law office in a minivan?

Nice wrap up to the last part of the story, but we know the end is not quite in sight.

I'd give Layla a box of Ferrero Rocher just to say 'congrats'. Then again, she might give me a slap and say, "Get lost, you creep." :P

Good to see one adventure has ended; and now another begins...
