Hey Folks, just thought I'd let everyone who frequents my library know that I am still with you (small chuckle. . .) Over a week ago we had over 10,000 lighting strikes that hit earth here in the bay area. They started a number of wild fires which are still raging out of control. My older sister and her husband live in the eastern foothills of San Jose. They were all packed and ready to evacuate. . . it hasn't come to that yet. My younger sister and her boyfriend live in Felton, CA which is pretty much the epicenter for the Santa Cruz, fire had to evacuate 1am Thursday morning. She won't know the condition of her home for at least a week. She left her cat with me and they are staying with friends. My life and what happens to me are no more or no less than each one of you, but I thought I owed a small explanation of what is going on here for my on line friends and I consider you all friends. The image was somewhat of a quicky but I think it serves the purpose. Be safe.

Excellent work, fingers crossed you are all safe, We live in a bushfire area in Australia as well, not a nice feeling not knowing if all you work is about to be destroyed and you need to flee. Stay safe

I really don't know what to say about all the fires. I live in Arizona in the Phoenix area. We are having our fair share of fires around the state as well. I saw a video on YouTube that sort of explains it. According to the vid, the sun has decided to lock itself down for awhile. Does it on a somewhat regular basis. By lockdown, they mean no more sun spot activity. With no sunspots, more radiation can bombard the suns orbiting planets. This increased activity disrupts weather patterns and increases the strength and frequency of lightning. Historically, this has happened many times before with sometimes more devastating results, some leading to years of famine and much colder temperatures globally. Well, nuff with my ramble.
