Description
So I decide to play around with the Sweet Dreams set, intending to recreate a scene I've done before, but now that I know what I'm doing, make it better. Only once I had loaded Rochelle, I then found myself loading her girl Aakash and we abandoned the notion of redoing the old scene in a frenzy of getting dForce to cooperate and generally having a lot of fun getting them posed properly.
Then there were three renders before I had one that I thought was good enough to share. Had some clipping in the first. Int he second, I noticed some terrain popping through the edge fo porch, and then really noticed how low-res the Sweet Dreams textures were, so of course I had to go and retexture things. I also noticed some little nitpicking things, like the fact that I hadn't put makeup on Aakash, or earring, and since in previous renders she had earrings, i was bothered that she wouldn't have a tiny little hole for the earring to go. I suppose I could have added that in Gimp, but since I needed to set the render up again anyway...
Phew!
I imagine it's a date. Maybe the other render I was planning on recreating was a photo shoot. That could work. They're on the set, and nobody's around... why not? In that other render, Rochelle is in the nude, so it makes sense for her to be dressed so casual. Rochelle and Aakash pop up so much they've become a part of my book, as Rochelle models for Lenny's book covers. (I did a mock book cover once with Rochelle, and it stuck.)
And here we are. I like it. There's a tenderness to the scene, and I like how the sun-dome worked out. I didn't want a bunch of light, you see, so I set up the sun-sky to later afternoon and upped the exposure a bit. Gets the job done. About all I do in Gimp is export it from a TIF to a JPG so I can upload to Renderosity. I generally don't like to do a bunch of post-work. It isn't a skill I've honed much yet. Maybe someday. That's why I focus on getting every right inside Daz Studio.
As for getting the dForce to cooperate. I hid the swing bed, and installed a plane, which I set as a static surface. I set it to simulate on a timeline. For Aakash, I hid Rochelle and had her start from "memorized" position. Since her axis is tilted to flat, it looked a bit funny. But, it worked. The plane was then raised up to collide gently with the skirt as the timeline played out. Then for Rochelle, I told it to simulate from current pose, froze the simulation on Aakash's clothes, and then ran the whole play range. All the clothes collided with the plane properly, which was set up to be at the same height as the bed. So all that was left was to reveal the bed, hide the plane, and... do all the other fiddly things before you can render something. Three times. Four hours each run. Yikes.
I'd like to play around with a second character affecting the collision of the first character's clothes some day, but for now... I think this turned out pretty nice and it's time to let my poor computer rest!
Thanks for looking. I hope you enjoy.
Hmm... and somehow I don't think I actually need the nudity tag for this one... go me?

P.S. Since this book is meant to be the first in a series, I'm also thinking of having a few loose connected works. Like short stories and such. Odd that I'm creating a new universe in a contemporary setting, but hey. I follow the story in my heart. Anyway, I'm thinking these two might get there own stories told. I just enjoy working with them too much to not want to find excuses to work with them some more. Other then shrinking Aakash slightly, they are perfect out-of-the-box. Probably the best models for G8F you'll find in the Daz Store, at least in my humble opinion.

Well after the intense workout, you deserve a break! LOL! Beautiful characters in a most tender moment! Beautifully imagined and portrayed! Many fine kudos!!!!
LyleAryn
Yup. A little "rest."
Thanks for the feedback. It means a lot.

...except the bat in the rafters. I brought popcorn.
And no ... no nuddy tag needed! Go You!
LyleAryn
These two get up to a lot of mischief whenever they end up on my screen. I still plan on following through with the piece I intended.
Which will definitely need the nudity tag, lol.
Thanks for stopping by. I keep my rafters bat-safe.
Now to determine just what sort of bat I've got nesting in them...

First off , thanks for sharing the development process. For a newbie like me it helps a lot. dForce sounds like a bit of a challenge but i am no where near that in my quest to learn DAZ. Your work is a lovely render. I am glad to view a render that took that much time. Thanks for sticking with it and for sharing it with us.
LyleAryn
Thank you. Most of what I've learned has been through trial and error. I don't really like going to Google, if I can figure it out on my own.
dForce presents some interesting challenges, but also some beautiful results if you manage to get everything set right.
One thing I would like to figure out is how to add dForce elements to older products. Seems like whenever try, things explode. But if I could just figure out what I'm doing wrong... There's so many awesome older products that are hard to use because they don't like poses beyond a straight-up-and-down.
I'm fairly new myself, really. Only been at it since October 23rd, 2018. (A date I remember well for other reasons)
Thanks for the kind words! Glad you stop by and comment. I look forward to seeing your work as well.
