Description
First, I want to thank the Poser technical forum community for their assistance helping me craft
this model into a presentable one in Poser. I want to thank the following:
ghostman, Miss B, sorry, the chocolates started to melt, so I had to eat them. Maybe next time?
JoEtzold, RedPhantom, ironsoul and most of all, caisson for really getting into the details of
my problem with helpful suggestions. I couldn't have figured this one out without all your fine
assistance. My hat is off to you all for lending a hand with this challenge.
Now, a little history on this particular car:
Back in 1977, my folks needed to replace a car my brother had totaled, a 1986 Dodge Dart.
Dad thought he would replace it with a car about the same size. I went shopping with my
him. We wound up at a Ford dealership and tried out a Granada, which we both liked, but
didn't like the price.
So, after some discussion, the salesman steered us to the larger LTD which he said was actually
less expensive than the Granada. We took it out for a test drive and were immediately sold. Dad
purchased the car for $5,127.00 cash and we drove home in it. He and my Mother had many fine
years use out of this vehicle.
Sad to say, I wound up with it several years later and had to release it to a wrecking yard after
the engine blew up and I couldn't afford any more repairs. I had just had the transmission
overhauled about two weeks before that. Long story short, it was a great riding car, but the small
(302) V8 engine couldn't push this big heavy car around forever. A little over 90,000 miles and
she gave up the ghost for good. Great memories though.

This is a really outstanding scene, Bill, and that big LTD looks great! Those old tanks were wonderful for a smooth ride and plenty of spaciousness. Beauties they were.... Ah, the good old days...

Nice memory and new model!
My grandparents had a 1971 Ford LTD 4-door hardtop that I thought was beautiful. In 1973, Grandpa drove it to the laundromat and forgot to put it in park. It rolled out into the street and it got t-boned by a semi. The driver's side doors were smashed and the windows were broken, but they tied the doors shut and he DROVE IT HOME! It was deemed "totalled," though, so they bought a 1973 Galaxie 500. Many years later, it, too, was destroyed by a semi, smacked from the back and sent flying. They replaced it with a MoPar K-car, I think it was a Plymouth Reliant. Anyway, several years later I found a 1971 Ford LTD convertible! It was jade green with a white top. Loved that car!!! It was so rare, people thought it was a custom!

Wonderful cooperative effort! Like the history of your interest in the particular model. After my Mom passed away my Dad was traveling in Canada and met a very wealthy widower. She had an old LTD that was in rough shape. My Dad said with all that money.......
She got out a box of cash from under the bed and went down to the Mercedes dealership and pluncked down 50,000! Flustered the salesman, he never saw anybody do that :)
