Description

Lilac was very small when the orcs came. Her parents were chopped into little bits before her eyes, tossed into the cookpot along with the vegetables her mama grew in the little garden out back. The Orc child had demanded, and so Lilac was stuffed in a cage for the next 17 years. Dressed up like a doll. Beaten. "Fluffy bunny do trick!" and if she didn't perform, the Orc girl would grow angry. Even when she had grown, she never forgot "Fluffy bunny." And "Fluffy Bunny's" desire for revenge never faded. The Orc girl grew careless. Letting Lilac roam about the manor the orcs had claimed. Screaming if she could not be found, but she developed a taste for something beyond the cage. "Fluffy bunny do trick!" She hopped and she danced, and twirled in the ridiculous gown. Hating the orcs, but loving life just enough. Pouring her heart into the dance. Holding on to some emotion other than pure unbridled hatred. The Orc girl. began to throw knives. Roaring with laughter. Shaving whiskers off of Lilac as she danced. There was nothing of terror left in her. She continued as if razor-sharp steel daggers weren't slicing her grey fur as they passed by. Perhaps, just perhaps, a little disappointed that none of them struck. After a time, the Orc girl was no longer amused by merely coming close. She tongue stuck between her tusks as she aimed more carefully. Growing upset as the blades continued to miss the small bunnyfolk, though the gown was reduced to ribbons. Lilac waited. The orc would throw her knives and then retrieve them. A decent number, but if she could just dodge a few more... That indomitable spirit in agreement with the cold fury that burned within her heart. The orc girl threw her last, a thin blade meant to puncture armor at the joints. Lilac caught it as it went by. The orc girl never had a chance. Never even suspected that her end had come. Falling with a thud, but Orc parents did not pay heed to loud noises. They continued to drink, nearly having worked through all the wine that had been laid in the manor's impressive cellar. They'd grown used to seeing "Fluffy Bunny" roam the house. Too dim-witted to realize the danger that bounded towards them, tiny face twisted in fury. The rags she wore still wet with the blood of their cruel daughter. After, she disappeared into the rain. Free at last. But without any idea of what to do with that freedom. All she knew was her anger. All she feared was the cage. She would cross paths with a powerful warrior, who saw past the rage, to the indomitable spirit beneath. Yoshi was patient, and kind. Forgiving everything. Forgiving even when her anger snapped, and she nearly thrust a dagger through his heart for calling her "grasshopper." It was too much like the name you would give a pet. Eventually, she found a sense of calm. Eventually, she became the picture of tranquility. She would practice the art of flower arrangement. The very picture of tranquility. She knew better though. The spirit of rage lurked, just beneath the facade. Where once she wished for nothing more than revenge, now she hopes to find peace in her heart. Most would call her pleasant. But woe to those that would seek to enslave another living being... This is Lilac. She's a Bunnyfolk Samurai for a 5e game I'll be playing tomorrow. We were tasked to build temporary characters, but... I may have gone a little overboard. Hope you enjoy!
