Description

I was inspired to make a space like this by the movies Bicentennial Man, and Star Wars Episode One. The design was inspired by the Baroque Italian architect Guarino Guarini. I don't know what this is supposed to be though. Maybe it's an arena, or a temple, or a grand interstellar market? This was modelled in AutoCAD, radiosity in Lightscape 3.2, and rendered in 3DS VIZ 3i. Thanks for viewing.

Excellent lighting as usual. I like the placement of the immediate rail in front of the viewer. That is a nice way to show the scale. The material in the light on the main floor is not convincing though. I think the pattern is too big and shrinks your model. Great work! You haven't posted in a while and now I see why:)

Thank you for the comment, and you're right about the floor texture. I had in mind huge field stones--like what the Romans might have used, but it didn't work.

Looks Absolutely Great! It looks like a modern version of the Colleseum ( Spelling? )... The only thing thats missing is seats and a score board...
