Remember all that work I did back in 2017 after the flood in my basement? Three coats of waterproofing on the floor, then a new layer of tile? Well, guess what... Yep. Another flood. Not as bad as in 2017 by any means, but still... As if I haven't had enough to deal with this spring... It has been raining pretty much steadily here for the past 2 weeks, and the problem is the ground is just so saturated. The water is actually seeping up through the floor - despite all the waterproofing I did back in 2017. You can see in the photo the water around the seams between the tile. And the forecast is for more rain pretty much all through next week. So if my activity here is (still) spotty, this is the reason why. I hope all of you are having a better spring than I am, my friends. I think it's time to look elsewhere and get out of this #%^&&% money pit this house is rapidly becoming.
