Description

"And now for something completely different..." ...well, different for me anyway. I bought a little Genius tablet and pen yesterday, and have been playing with it, getting a feel for it. Works really well. This was made in Painter 5 with black and white chalk on a grey background. Love that pavement slab texture, it's the one I keep coming back to :-) I deliberately tried not to think too much about what I was doing, trying to allow as much subconscious influence as possible. Not easy at all, but I think the result is more interesting than it would've been if I'd pictured it all in my mind's eye first. There are a couple of closed eyes in there among the hills :-) Many thanks to Shawn Vybiral (Usurer) who must have been my prime inspiration in buying a graphic tablet... guess I'd just become sick of always having to draw using a bar of soap with a wire sticking out of it...

And I see this while reading your letter.. ah, it just feels like the only thing I could watch now :) :) :) (for teh record,I was gifted witha graphic tablet-no Wacom either- this past April for my birthday and no way I have ever used it as productively as you did after not even a day you were owin it.. sigh..) Love the unconsciousness in all this. It's you :)

Definitely a landscape with a soul, like it very much. Could be an illustration for a story of mysterious giant beeings that unseen live in the nature.

Yes, I see a landscape, and I see a figure. But what I feel when I see this image is beyond my words. Perhaps I should have said only that I like this image...
